How would you feel if a woman you love actually loved another woman? The woman is not lesbian, nevertheless falls for the other woman.
Now, talking more frankly, I’ve been reading novels for some times, I love every genre. Be it love story, thriller or suspense, I can date with any, provided that the novels are delicious enough to read.
Sputnik Sweetheart
is a book by the writer Haruki Murakami. I have never read any of his books so far. And this is the first. It captivated me in such a way that the after read was majestic. To be true, the book kept me thinking for a while.
Turning through the first few pages, I only expected it to be a love triangle of the sort. However, I was wronged and left dumbstruck with lots of amazement throughout the book.
The story is about Sumire, a normal woman aged 22 falling in love for the first time in her life for an older woman named Miu, and married. K loves Sumire and Sumire loves Miu. Sumire often called K to ask some strangest questions as early as 3 in the morning only to find an answer, questioned by Miu. Questions like the differences between a sign and a symbol!
I devoured the book as to such an extent that I completed it within 6 hours, to be precise and not calculating the breaks, I took in between. This is the first ever book to record the shortest time to finish. I felt very much attached with the book and the issues it deals could be personal to anyone; to me, to you and to everybody. The book has a deeper meaning hidden and it is you to crack it open in any manner you like.
